Don't Take Your LiFe and LiPo Batteries for Granted - My Turnigy 9X Killed my LiFe Battery
I left my Turnigy 9X transmitter on and my LiFe battery drained to death. It became bloated, swollen, and now won't take a charge. It looks like it's about to explode. I had to temporarily rig my T9X to take 8 AA batteries so I can fly in the meantime. The guys at www.parkeflyer.com pointed out there's a Zippy battery that will fit the 9X available at HobbyKing's USA warehouse:
That means no expensive shipping and long wait times.
Please, please take caution using LiFe and LiPo batteries. I always thought it wouldn't happen to me, but it finally did. Thankfully nothing major happened, but I've seen some YouTube vids of these things lighting up pretty violently.
