In Trance We Trust 594-0
Jace Williams & Matt Dominguez - Heatwave
1. Original Mix
"Hope & Pray", the debut single that Jace Williams dropped on In Trance We Trust in May this year, raised many nicely surprised eyebrows in the industry. Joining forces with Matt Dominguez, he now presents his second single release, titled "Heatwave".
Jace Williams is a DJ/producer and promoter from South Wales. After his first steps in U.K. hardcore he made the transition to the sounds of hard house and hard trance, gradually moving to trance music; heavily inspired by Judge Jules, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Orjan Nilsen, Ben Gold, Jordan Suckley, John O'Callaghan, Claudia Cazacu, 4 Strings, Signum and Rank1. Jace started DJing at the age of 20, initially rocking crowds throughout Wales and the clubbing capital of the world Ibiza. After winning a DJ competition in Ibiza in 2009, Jace was given a residency by Ibiza Live that also led to gigs at Eden, Es Paradis, Hush, Play 2, Kanya Sunset Bar and, later on, Ministry of Sound London and Escape in Swansea. Jace is currently into his third year as resident for Ibiza Live and spends all his quality time in the studio working on new productions including his recent debut on In Trance We Trust, titled "Hope & Pray"; now followed up with "Heatwave".
Matt Dominguez is no stranger to Select UK Radio: after DJ-ing for just one year he managed to secure a prime time slot on the show, Fridays 7-9pm. In the months that followed the young Kent DJ became increasingly known by listeners and fellow DJs for his main room sound and love for progressive and tech. The young Nightowl resident has played to host some of the world's most famous clubs like Ministry of Sound and Pacha, performing alongside artists like Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell, Koen Groeneveld, Bingo Players, Gregor Salto, Thomas Gold, Deniz Koyu, Juan Kidd and others. 2011 saw Matt working in Ibiza for Radio One giant Judge Jules at his famous Judgement Sundays.
With "Heatwave" Jace and Matt open with a hammering intro, plunging you right into the firing line; a dynamic, sonic attack, followed by a big, room-filling synth arrangement. Kicking the crap out of the bass cones, the beats roll along, moving on to a bright, ripping synth melody that dominates the track and creates an instant hands in the air or "Tune!" sign moment. "Heatwave" is one to play loud, even if it brings the plaster down from the neighbor's ceiling. Once again not too far away from a super attractive rave feel to his productions, Jace Williams's "Heatwave" is a perfect cut for the packed prog/tech sessions.
