RC911 KK2V1++ Firmware:
RC911's firmware is so fantastic I'm scared to switch to Arducopter for fear of loosing the insanely sharp and accurate control. Anyone with experience with both please comment.
I've since sold this one to an enthusiastic buyer and two months later he flew it off in to a forest to be lost forever :-( I built a mini...
Anyways, I'm rebuilding another mid size quad and have researched and optimized this size quad as much as I could without breaking the bank. If you'd like to see that parts list, take a look here:
I've fully graduated from the KK board FC. It's a fantastic starting point but if I were to start again, I would skip it and go straight to the Naze32 acro version. Don't bother with the full feature version, the software support is minimal and the additional sensors don't work well. The regular functions however are stellar. Better than anything the KK board can do. For big boys, go straight to the APM for quad or hex, and Pixhawk if planning on hanging greater than a $500 camera off it...Pixhawk has on board redundancy.
