When Dr. Josh Jackson of Washington University in St. Louis stumbled upon 50 years of personality-traits data in a dusty basement, he had never thought he'd come up with a talk title like that. He found that personality may be closely linked with our lifespan, and our friends may know more about us than we do ourselves!
Dr. Josh Jackson is a professor of psychology at Wash U where he directs the Personality Measurement and Development Lab, affectionately known as the P-MAD lab. The lab studies how your personality changes across time and how your personality influences important outcomes such as educational attainment and health status.
