The Walkera X350 Pro is the answer to the popular GPS drone market. Many of you may think it is a GPS drone which can do everything, but we find that this drone is a bit different from the competitors, please read on.
There are quite a lot of GPS drone on the market, most of them have the same goal - to do Aerial Filming and to be the most stable drone on the market (like hanging with a string). The Walkera X350 Pro, on the otherhand, NOT just focus on aerial filming, it is a Very Agile and Fast drone, when we were testing it we noticed the drone tilt a lot in all directions, it wants to fly fast, it feels like a 450 class CP helicopter which we have never seen on other GPS drones before, simply saying if you are a experienced RC heli player, you can fly the X350 Pro like a helicopter, like fast movement and banking into corners, this is funny to those who knows how to play heli. So... what about the GPS function, it's used to stabilize the drone, right?
What's good about the X350 Pro?
X350 Pro is the newer version of the X350 drone, now it can fly for 20 minutes plus with the stock 11.1V 5200mah Li-Po battery. The X350 Pro came with a 10-Channel DEVO 10E transmitter in white color, this is new, and best of all, this package came with a Walkera G-2D Brushless Motor Gimbal, in another word, it's FREE! Just put a GoPro 3 Camera on it and you'll get hollywood grade video right the way, this gimbal eliminates the un-wanted movement on the drone body, and you can control the Tilt angle of the gimbal, this is useful.
What is GPS mode on the X350 Pro?
The X350 Pro is a GPS drone, however, Walkera has different understanding with "GPS" control. Walkera thinks GPS control is to "Hover" the drone only, when you are flying, you will be using GPS OFF mode, when you want to stay in one spot, you need to bring the throttle stick to middle and toggle GPS switch to ON and it will stay there, when you want to fly again, toggle GPS to OFF and go on flying, this is the biggest difference from the competitors.
So is the X350 Pro a good drone? Yes, we think Walkera did a good job on this drone, however, you need to know that the X350 Pro is different comparing with others. It delivers different experience, it is also VERY stable, no doubt, as long as you are not a first time flying, you can hover it easily, thanks to the advanced Gyro Controller. We had a great time flying it because we know how to fly RC helis, we put FPV system on the X350 Pro and fly very fast like an airplane, which no other GPS drone can give us that kind of performance. So.. can the X350 Pro handle aerial filming?
Yes, X350 Pro is a good aerial filming drone, remember, it came with the Walkera G-2D Gimbal, it's a 2-axis brushless motor gimbal which delivers pixel grade stability video on your Gopro Camera, you can shoot awesome video with this small drone, it can also hover at one point because of the GPS module, just remember, the X350 Pro is standing between Aerial Filming and Fast Flying, it can do both, no other drone is built like that. Considering the super value price, we think it is a very good drone.
