We were shocked when we received the iSPY tank, we could not believe someone made this happen at such value price! It is too good to be true, like a car with Ferrari's performance at Toyota's price....
What's the catch? We have not spot one yet. This is a bit wired coming from a hobby shop's mouth, but it's true. The iSPY Tank is a mini size RC Tank.... well... not exactly RC, it is controlled by an Application on Apple's iPhone / iPad / iPod, the tank communicates with Wi-Fi. Make no mistake, I'm NOT saying Router or Network Stuff, not Internet Connection stuff, but simple Wi-Fi signal. That means with any of your iPhone / iPad / iPod, you download an application from Apple App Store, then you can sync with the tank. The connection is easy, once you turn on the tank, you go to Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone / iPad / iPod, you will see the Tank's ID code, it looks like a free Wi-Fi Connection, you touch the Tank's ID code and the connection is made. Now you get to control it to go all directions, getting real time video feed, you see what it sees, furthermore you can record the video and take photos! One more interesting function, you can "raise" the camera to a better angle, this process is absolutely amazing, it raise slowly like the one you see in Sci-Fi movie, this is awesome!!
We navigated the tank thru tight areas and explore places by watching the iPad screen and guess what, it feels like exploring Alien Planets, that feels so good. Next time we gotta put a flashlight on the tank and explore the park, this will be fun. Such thing did not exist one year ago, and here it is at such value price, don't miss it, it's an AMAZING Tech Toy, we have to say it is the Best Toy for boys!
