Wonder Woman Movie First Look & Cast Revealed

Wonder Woman has officially begun production and we’ve got the details right now on Clevver Newsfeed! Wonder Woman heads to London with our first official image from her upcoming solo film. Gal Gadot took to Twitter to share the first official look at 2017’s Wonder Woman movie. Gadot posted the following pic of her in full costume though most of the outfit is covered in a cloak. The photo clearly takes place in London as you can see Big Ben’s clock in the background. Along with the photo, Gadot tweeted out quote, “Almost 75 years in the making…#WonderWoman is underway.” The pic follows a previous set photo that was posted and then later deleted by co-star Said Taghmaoui that featured him and Chris Pine in period costumes outside a trailer. Chris Pine will play Wonder Woman love interest “Steve Trevor” and though we don’t know who exactly Said will play, a translated interview from French magazine Ultra has him claiming to be playing a superhero in the film. While some have pointed out that the translation could have been poor and what he actually said was “good guy”, some are speculating that he could play “Dr. Fate”, an archaeologist with magical powers. Other cast members announced that we still don’t know who they are playing are House of Cards’ Robin Wright, Clash of the Titans’ Danny Huston, Harry Potter’s David Thewlis, Snowpiercer’s Ewen Bremner, The Skin I Live In’s Elena Anaya and Shaun of the Dead’s Lucy Davis. The plot of Wonder Woman remains a mystery, but it is rumored to take place over three time periods starting in Wonder Woman’s homeland, followed by World War I era London and then present day. Production will take place for the next several months in the UK, France and Italy. While Wonder Woman will make her big screen debut in this March’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the film currently set for June 23rd, 2017 will mark the character’s first solo outing.
