We've been wondering for months now as to whether or not 'Man of Steel' would be the beginning of the DC/Warner Bros. cinematic universe and, as with all things Zack Snyder and 'Man of Steel' related, we never got a straight answer. But now, Snyder has shed a glimmer of hope for those of us wanting to see the Man in Blue launch the DC/'Justice League' Universe.
As we inch closer to the release of 'Man of Steel' on June 14, director Zack Snyder has been revealing more and more about what we can expect from the highly anticipated movie -- finally. Snyder spoke to the NY Post about the movie and Snyder talked about the idea of 'Man of Steel' launching the DC Comic movie universe.
He said, "I don't know how 'Justice League' is going to be handled. Honestly, I don't. But 'The Man of Steel' exists, and Superman is in it. I don't know how you'd move forward without acknowledging that."
Hmm. Ok, maybe not as telling as originally hoped especially since Snyder said he "approached the film as a single endeavor" but the NY Post did not give up pushing Snyder to reveal something, anything about himself and the studio integrating 'Man of Steel' into a larger superhero universe.
He coyly said, "Um, how can I answer that? I can't really say anything to that, because that's a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course."
Maybe it's just me but I think that's just a sly way of saying, 'Yes'. We all know how successful these character/movie crossovers have been for Marvel and with Warner Bros reportedly moving ahead with 'Justice League' it is a good possibility that we could hear of a mention or even a cameo from Wonder Woman, Flash or Batman.
So tell me DC fans, do you want to see 'Man of Steel' launch the DC movie universe? How would you like it done, in the movie itself or as an end credits teaser? As always, comment below or tweet us @ClevverMovies. I'm Aja Dang for Clevver Movies, thanks for watching.
