Leo Romero, Jackson Pilz, Ryan Townley, Jesse Noonan, Alex Harvey and Reece Warren traverse the badlands of the former penal colony as the Tasmanian Devils skate mission goes off Down Under.
Due south from the Melbourne coastline and over the Bass Strait lies Australia’s sixth state: Tasmania. Home to over 500,000 people, this under-explored region of Australia is home to some of the most beautiful parts of the country, but it's usually swerved on skate trips in favour of the bigger counterparts on the mainland.
There’s lots to skate, see and do but much of the allure of Tasmania is that almost half of it is protected areas, national parks and World Heritage Sites. Tasmania was where the first environmental political party in the world was founded.
The one downside to Tasmania? It's exhausting! There’s so much to skate and then so much to see, you just end up finding yourself running around trying to see it all while you are there. It's a place you could spend years and maybe not see every corner, but it rewards every second.
If you're planning a trip to Australia, consider going further south to skate Tasmania, too – it really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Click play above to join a one of a kind adventure!
