Small town Lemoore, California is the least likely venue for a WSL Championship Tour event, but a handful of years ago the thought of a wave pool appearing in surfing’s major league wouldn’t have been considered likely either. Fast forward to today and sure enough Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch is hosting surfing’s elite. For the tub’s sophomore showing, Ashton and the No Contest crew headed inland to take the temperature of surfing’s wacky new world at the 2019 Freshwater Pro.
