If you have followed this channel for a long time, you probably already know that I have a "thing" for lightweight micro quads. My ultralight 1S "MicroGP" build () was one of my favorite 1S flyers but things have evolved quickly.
Components have become lighter, brushless setups are more efficient and powerful and there are at last many options for small 2S and 3S batteries.
I am personally very happy to see more and more people fly with micros. They are cheap, easy to carry, nearly silent, fairly safe and crash very well.
The "toothpick" class is now very popular, so are the two budget options I am comparing in this video: the Sailfly-X and the RedDevil.
(note: by the time I edited this video, the Sailfly frame has been upgraded - check for the V2 below)
This is BNF TESTING: Happymodel Sailfly-X vs Eachine Red Devil - toothpick class on a budget - Let's go!
