Hi!
I've received numerous enquiries asking about how to waterproof the receivers.
So I thought I should make a short video on how I usually waterproof my receivers. :)
I use the Flysky GT3B for almost all of my trucks and cars as it is a very affordable transmitter which can support up to 8 channels! :D
Yes! 8 channels! You can refer to this video to see how to "hack" your GT3B to support that.
So, back to the topic....
What are the required items?
- Tools to open up the Receivers
- Neutral Cure Silicone - Note: Only use Neutral Cure Silicone as it do not corrode the PCB and electronic components
- Binding plug - simply for having something to hold on to while you are coating the receiver. :)
- toothpick, to help spread and coat the receiver evenly
Pretty simple process, have a look. :)
I used to balloon up the receivers, but over time, the balloon "melts" and become sticky over time.
From then on, I used Neutral Cure Silicone for all my receiver waterproofing. :) No failures over the years.
Works very well for me. :)
That being said, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISKS! :D
Thanks for watching!
