There has been a lot of discussion since the RapidFIRE module was launched, for the power delivery capabilities of the VRx module bay of our goggles. Some goggles are OK in their stock condition, other goggles need to be modded or require the use of an auxiliary power board (for the RapidFIRE and True-D X modules).
A power hungry module like the True-D X is definitely more demanding, but this doesn't mean that two other modules with the same (lower) current draw can operate equally well on the same voltage levels!
So… have you ever wondered how low the operating voltage can be, without it affecting the good performance of your module?
I did, I asked around and… this is how much voltage you need for your FPV goggle video receiver module (and how much current it draws) - feat. TrueD-X, RapidFire, LaForge, OwlRx & TrueD... Let's go!
