This plane unfortunately had a very short life. I was flying line of sight and had a lockout which resulted in a nasty nose in crash destroying the fuselage and badly damaging the wings. Never actually flew it FPV and probably for the best as now I look back at the setup especially the ground station and shake my head. The lockout was caused by one of two things - too many servos connected all powered off the ESC BEC or an rx signal loss (had swapped over to spektrum 2.4). My guess is the first. So please learn from this lesson, I was stupidly running 8 servos (2 ail, 2 flap, rudd, elev, pan, tilt) without using a separate higher rated BEC and didnt know any better at the time :(
With a lot of FPV experience under my belt now I can safely say that the Phoenix 2000 would be an excellent plane for video piloting. The motor mount definitely needs to be strengthened with an upgraded motor added, and possibly add some reinforcement to the wing attachment. Big fuse, nice flying characteristics, its a shame i didnt get to explore its potential through the goggles.
