Ben Preston's new release appears on our Songbird label and is entitled "Pillars Of The Earth".
Most will agree with us that Ben outdid himself on this superb new production. "Pillars Of The Earth" is a truly symphonic track inspired by Pillars of the Earth, written by Ken Follett. The historical novel is about the building of a cathedral in a non existing town, Kingsbridge, England. It is set in the middle of the 12th century, in an era often referred to as the Anarchy. If you only imagine how life would have been in those days, with a certain mysticism in it, you can actually hear that in Ben's attractive, dramatic and off the wall arrangement. There is definitely something celestial about the track and the monumental synths and strings only add to that fact. And the subtle use of classical piano at the end of the track tops it off. For the real trance jocks this is one of those lovely cuts to use if you want to create a special atmosphere in the club or big room.
The techno and minimal DJs will be pleased to find an Adam Sheridan remix in the package. Adam reworks the original in his own typical way, but still remains true to Ben's melody line. "Pillars Of The Earth" will soon be a massive pillar on your dance floor!
