Basically the procedure goes something like this:
- Trimming (Tamiya Polycarbonate Body #11825824)
- Washing
- Applying Masks
- Painting the dark colour, 3 layers (Tamiya Light Blue PS-3)
- Removing Masks
- Painting the bright colour, 3 layers (Tamiya White PS-1)
- Applying Decals/Stickers (Tamiya #19495811)
- Finished!
I did make a couple of mistakes. Somehow some blue paint was present in the top of the body before applying the white paint. Well ... doesn't look great up close, but still ok for a runner ... but still unsatisfying... I also seem to forget from time to time to polish the edges of the cut polycarbonate after the trimming. When remembering that - it really makes a big difference to the final result.
Note: With the decals provided it is also possible to make another body design which resembles the original design from The Frog from the 1980ies.
