The Marvel Cinematic Universe contains some of the biggest and most expensive films ever made. A lot of work goes into making these films, from the massive and expensive casts to all the visual effects needed to bring these worlds come to life. But thankfully, there are those who are present on set who are smart enough to take some pictures during the production to showcase what things are really like on set. Sometimes, a movie looks really different before all the bells and whistles are in place. Just like at Tom Holland’s Spider-Man costume. Wait, where is it? That’s right, it was a digital suit so Holland was actually in a mo-cap suit on set! The same can be said for Cate Blanchette’s Hela, who needed extensive CGI to create her signature design, and Taika Waiti’s Korg, the rock man from Ragnarok. Sometimes, the behind the scenes shots showcase the actors hanging out and looking normal, despite their celebrity status and feuds on the big screen. Quite often, we get to see how much blue and green screen is needed to bring places like Wakanda to life. Sometimes, actors are replaced entirely, as is the case with Rocket Raccoon and Sean Gunn. Actors hanging out with the directors and taking in their wisdom is always a fun thing to see for cinephiles as that’s the moments we’re not privy to that can elevate a movie to its maximum potential. Sometimes, the candid shots show how much practical effects are used, such as how much of Vision was actually costumes and makeup. It’s always fun to see a movie before the final product we all get familiar with, so let’s take a look at more!
