If the keys were just slightly larger this would be the ultimate killer iPad Air keyboard case.
The keys are a little larger than chiclets but still noticeably smaller than a full size keyboard. I can type ok on it but I still prefer Belkin's awesome Ultimate Wireless Keyboard Case when I want to use a keyboard with my iPad. You can see my review of that product here:
The Thin Type Keyboard Case is constructed out of solid aluminum and is very rigid but still relatively lightweight. A latch mechanism reminiscent of the smart covers for the prior generations of the iPad (the 2,3, and 4) securely connects to the iPad Air's built in magnets. The case doesn't clamp down all that well and moves a bit while walking with it connected, but it will hold together firmly thanks to the magnets.
To use the keyboard the iPad must be unlatched and then inserted into a groove above the keys. That activates a switch that turns the keyboard on. So it doesn't have quite the smooth fold out motion that a lot of keyboard cases have - but it also doesn't cocoon the device into a case that you may not always need attached to the device.
The bottom line? This is a really nicely constructed product that looks good. If the keys were as big as the ultimate keyboard case's keys I'd give this five stars in a heartbeat.
