Plywood Swing Out Seat

Video Channel
Please help us to find bad videos. Broken or unappropriated video content?
The main point of this project was to challenge myself and work out if it was possible to make a plywood swing out seat without any metalworking. At the outset I wasn't over confident but felt it was possible, good quality plywood is strong. It's worked out well but without testing it over time I couldn't be super confident it will hold up indefinitely. There really is a lot of stress, especially on the top hinge. Also I'm comparing it to the steel seat I built a couple of weeks ago and that thing is rock solid.
I really liked how the frame came out but I struggled to find a seat design I liked that complimented it. I played around with a few ideas before settling on the same style seat as my other swing out seat. I reckon it looks fine but not sure that I nailed it.
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.
