Lisa Gade reviews the Razer Blade 15, the company’s first major redesign of their unibody aluminum 2kg ultraportable gaming laptop with dedicated graphics and an Intel 8th gen 6 core i7-8750H CPU. The 2018 Razer Blade has a 15.6” display available in 144Hz IPS and 60Hz matte full HD variants, and there’s a 4K UHD 100% Adobe RGB option too. You can get it with your choice of an NVIDIA GTX 1060 Max-Q or GTX 1070 Max-Q, and we have the 144Hz GTX 1070 model. Cooling is improved thanks to vapor chamber cooling and a much larger heatsink, and RAM is now upgradeable with a max of 32GB DDR4 2666Mhz RAM. It ships with a PCIe NVMe SSD, has Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0b, mini DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-A ports. Other features include a Razer Chroma per key RGB backlit keyboard, an MS Precision glass trackpad, and narrow display bezels. It competes with the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin, Gigabyte Aero 15X and Asus ROG Zephyrus GM501. Pricing starts at $1,899.
