Well since its been too windy to fly this weekend I've built my own 400 size quadcopter out of some old landing gear and a few crashed frames, its turned out not bad I think, basically 2 x 20mm carbon tubes as main frame with 16mm carbon tubes as arms with some carbon plate top and bottom, all electrics mounted between plates,
Sunnysky 2212 1400kv Motors, running Graupner 8x5 on 4S, Afro 20A ESC flashed with BLHeli and Naze 32 Oneshot enabled, had it out for a quick test hover and its not bad, it jumps about a little on full throttle punch outs but still running stock PID's so needs tuning, still FPV cam to fit and VTX antenna will be getting moved just waiting on some SMA pigtails arriving, will probably make a few little tweaks yet and get some carbon plate and make a better job of top and bottom plates but I think its not bad for just using some old frame parts, basic hand tools and a dremel.
