Apart from the two buggies' shared popularity and fame, I'm not sure if I could have picked two buggies that have less in common than these two (check out the specifications below). But the two batteries I got from Awanfi just seemed perfect for these two.
Well, nearly perfect, since the 7.4v LiPo technically do not fit the WLToys A959-B, size wise. But I have been told that it fits a high variety of other 1/18-1/12 buggies. On the other hand, the 7.2v NiMH battery was the perfect size for the Tamiya Grasshopper. It fits down to the last mm and is the largest NiMH battery I have ever had in my Tamiya Grasshopper. And on top of that, the small and compact LiPo battery provides a good oppurtunity to fit the old Tamiya buggies with a 2S LiPo, that actually fits the old models' limited battery compartments. So the choice for this week's 'versus-video' was based on the batteries from Awanfi. And I must say both batteries performed beautifully here on the first test run!
