'Justice League' Villain Revealed?

Last week we reported that 'Justice League' might have found their Batman in Joseph Gordon Levitt and rumors are swirling that 'JL' might have also found a baddie -- and he is out of this world.
Once again, this is just a rumor but the Latino Review is reporting that DC Comics arch-villain Darkseid will be the force bringing the DC heroes together. Darkseid is the ruler of Apokolips who murdered his older and more peaceful brother and seized the "Omega Force", giving him insane power and transforming him into a rock-like creature.
If there was one baddie to bring the JL together it would absolutely be Darkseid. He has the intelligence of Lex Luthor, the strength and size of Killer Croc and powers way hotter than Captain Cold's. He is one of the most powerful beings in the DCU and would require every available hero to help bring him down.
Darkseid has appeared in several animated series and video games so people know him outside of the comics and has a huge support cast of baddies that can help him take over the DCU. Darkseid is definitely evil enough to help launch the Justice League Universe but we do have one problem: the storyline could be very Avengers-esque.
Thanos and Darkseid not only look the same but are both cosmic forces of evil, the Chitauri fleet invading Earth through a Tesseract-created portal is similar to the Parademons arriving via a Boom tube and they both want to take over the world. With 'Avengers 2' already confirmed for May 2015 and Warner Brother reportedly looking to release 'Justice League' that same year, let's hope that the writers do something to differentiate the two.
Latino Review also adds that no director has been named and filming will start next year. With 'Man of Steel' set to be released June 14, 2013 maybe we will get to see the God of Evil in an end credits scene.
