Could the Dynam HawkSky V2 be a worthy replacement for the venerable old AXN that has introduced so many people to the hobby of flying RC planes? Well the answer looks like it's a resounding YES.
I really like this model and here are the pro's:
- it's reasonably priced
- the quality of the foam and molding is excellent
- it is very docile and easy to fly
- the build (aside from fitting the propeller) is super-easy and quick
- the wings are detachable for transport
But nothing is perfect... so here are the cons:
- 1987 called and they want their Deans connector back!
- the prop/spinner setup is tedious
- the CG indication on the plan is wrong - it should be 25% back from the wing's leading edge as measured at the root.
All in all, this model definitely gets a thumbs-up from me.
