The main point here is that there is a specific voltage and Kv balance for any motor that can/must be tuned to the motors construction in order to achieve optimal performance. A high construction motor with the wrong kv and voltage may feel much worse than a $10 motor that just happens to be in the sweet spot...it's all very complicated as far as I can tell so I just keep testing the slow way in the real world.
