Skywalker 1900mm Maiden Flight

I was able to get my Skywalker ready for a maiden flight this weekend. Looks like no flying this coming week with a storm in the gulf, wind in the forecast and possibly even a hurricane! Anyway, back to the Skywalker... It's a typical setup... Kit, motor, ESC, servos are all from BEVRC. Battery is a 4S 5000mAh LiPo, Dragon Link UHF receiver, OSD is the Dianmu from Skylark that we're still testing. Flight camera is a PZ0420, mounted just above the GoPro on a pan and tilt from Ready Made R/C. For now, the pan servo is a standard size Hitec on a 180 stretcher, but I do have a 360ยบ GWS servo ordered, and will swap it out when that arrives. Video transmitter is the 800mW 1258/1280 from RMRC.
On this flight I went out two miles. It flies great! It's so smooth and predictable. It flies like a large plane, which is a good thing. (and it is rather large... lol) I do need to make a few little changes, like the CG, paint for the "pod", and more cooling for the ESC, but like I said I just wanted to sneak in a maiden flight while I had the chance. :)
I would also like to thank the nice people at Hobby Wireless for sponsoring some of my projects! If you haven't yet, check out their store and see what they sell. Lots of good gear for FPV enthusiasts, and they ship fast from the USA (Texas)!

Here's some affiliate links to the video gear I use from Ready Made R/C:
1.3GHz video transmitters (I use 200, 400, 800, and 1500mW on various planes)
I recommend this receiver to go with them. I use an older Racewood type they used to sell, but these are supposed to be at least as good with the same Comtech tuners in them. Apparently Racewood is no longer in business, so here's what replaced them:
I use this 8dbi Patch Antenna, it has been my go-to antenna for a long time now, for years! lol I've been out more then 10 miles using one of these and the 800mW vtx listed above:
On the transmitter side, the stock dipoles that come with them work pretty good together with that patch, but if you want slightly better performance and less weight/drag, consider these: __
