Take a look at this wonderful 1200 mah no-name battery. It is compatible with the Syma X5HC/X5HW and has twice the capacity of the original battery. It DOES extend the flight time almost twice.
I am flying with these batteries a lot and so far none of the rotors have failed despite the recommendation not to fly with them longer than 10 minutes. It is still winter here and likely that helps the rotors to stay cooler.
