HDR playback requires an HDR screen along with YouTube app support. HDR-capable Roku devices should do the trick, selected Samsung screens along with smartphones like the Galaxy S8, S8+, Note 8, LG V30 and Sony XZ Platinum also support HDR. Non-HDR screens get a standard SDR picture.
