Batman: Return to Arkham is a collection of the first two Arkham games, Asylum and City, as well as all their DLC, available for the first time on Xbox One and PS4. It's also delayed indefinitely, unhelpfully. Show of the Week ponders Return to Arkham, as well considering the terrible state of the medical professionals in Gotham. Subscribe for this show weekly:
Take two of Gotham’s prominent surgeons as examples. Dr. Thomas Elliot, first of all, murders a bunch of people, cuts their faces off, then uses those faces to create a copy of Bruce Wayne’s face in an attempt to steal his identity.
That said, as long as no parts of your face look like any parts of Bruce Wayne’s face, you’re still probably safer with Elliot than with Dr. Lazlo Valentin.
After one of those psychotic breaks that are so popular amongst Gotham’s medical professionals, Valentin spent most of his time kidnapping people and attempting to turn them into ‘perfect’ humans through surgery, mind control and drugs. FYI, for Lazlo, ‘perfect’ apparently means kickboxing mimes.
What I’m saying is, treat doctors as a last resort if you live in Gotham. Maybe try aspirin first.
