In this video I cover the problems using Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries to power Fat Shark Dominator V3 goggles.
The upgraded LiFe battery pack provides at least twice the usable time of the goggles and more charge cycles. This battery technology is best suited to low power, low current applications.
My home grown solution that I have been using for 6 months uses 2x NCR18650 LiFe batteries to power the goggles all contained in a 3D printed case with an integrated battery voltage indicator.
The entire unit is fractionally bigger than the original.
