WORLD FIRST; F1 champ J.Button takes on Bathurst; Sets record!

In a worlds first, British F1 driver Jenson Button raced his F1 car, the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, around Bathurst's iconic track at Mount Panorama then he did it again in Craig Lowndes's V8 Supercar, and Lowndes himself tore around the track in the Formula One racer.
it was the first time an F1 car had been driven around Mt Panorama, and Button also (unofficially) set the fastest lap ever completed around the mountain, crossing the line in 1 minute 48 seconds, beating Lowndes' own previous record by 18 seconds!
Around two thousand racing fans came along to watch motorsport history be made ahead of the Melbourne Grand Prix happening the following weekend.
