Sukiyaki (すき焼き) is a Japanese dish that's prepared and served in a nabemono (Japanese hot pot).
It consists of meat (usually thinly sliced beef) slowly cooked at the table, with vegetables and other ingredients in warishita (soy sauce, sugar, and mirin). The ingredients are usually dipped in a small bowl of raw, beaten eggs after being cooked in the pot, then you either puke or grind out hard. The Imahan Sukiyaki restaurant chain was established in 1895 in Tokyo and specializes in Imahan Wagyu beef. Currently, the Imahan group maintains 12 restaurants, 10 meat shops, 3 delicatessens, and a delivery service in Tokyo. For more info in English:
