How I Became a Google Doodler: Ryan Germick at TEDxBloomington

As the Google Doodle team lead, Ryan Germick manages the artists behind Google's ever-changing homepage logos, and himself has directed, illustrated, designed, animated, and collaborated on more than 100 "doodles", including those celebrating Pac-Man, Les Paul, Robert Moog, Star Trek, Charlie Chaplin, Jim Henson, Dr. Seuss, and Sesame Street. He was amongst the nerdiest students in art school (Parsons School of Design) and has been one of the artsiest nerds at Google since 2006. Germick is a middle child from a creative family in Northwest Indiana.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
