The BAYANGTOYS X16 is the latest version of this model now featuring GPS hold, altitude hold, one key GPS assisted return, headless mode, and around 13-15 minutes of flight time depending on your payload.
The GPS holds a pretty constant position which makes this quadcopter a great platform to mount your camera/gimbal and get nice smooth video.
The auto land feature works fantastically and lands to within about a 10 foot area of the takeoff zone.
When the return to home function is enabled the quadcopter will first see if it has enough altitude, if it thinks it is not high enough it will climb to a set altitude. Next the quadcopter will quickly fly back to you and hover over the landing zone for about 10 seconds before coming down to land.
There are 2 failsafes with the X16 GPS edition that will make the quadcopter fly back and (hopefully) land safely. The basic gist of it is that if the quadcopter battery gets below 10 percent or it loses signal to the transmitter it will auto land itself.
Overall I am pretty pleased with this quadcopter and if I had to recommend a cheap GPS enabled platform to mount your own camera this would be it.
