Last year, Armin van Buuren became second in the world's biggest popularity poll. As the highest trance DJ in the list, and the 8th year in a row of being featured in the Top 3, it's an incredible feat for the Dutchman.
No DJ had ever been the number one in the DJ Mag Top 100 for a consecutive 4 years. Neither have many of them managed to clock up more than 11 years of providing a weekly radio show such as A State of Trance. In March 2012, Armin celebrated the 550th episode of the show, with 6 events in 5 cities, uniting millions of listeners all around the globe. He brought a new compilation with 'A State of Trance 2012', and surprised his fans with singles 'Suddenly Summer', 'We Are Here To Make Some Noise' and 'J'ai Envie de Toi'. This summer, he lands 14 A State of Trance nights in Europe's biggest club, Privilege on Ibiza, and that's definitely not all of the gigs on his schedule.
