A look at Paul’s new 85" Top Flite P-47D Thunderbolt. It’s a beautiful plane (even if it isn’t a Razorback lol) and sounds great with the Saito radial engine.
Sketchiest video I’ve done for a long time. I haven’t had a camera in my hands for almost a year and I tried to shoot this while standing on my one good leg. The muscle memory using the camera has all but disappeared and I quickly found that trying to film a plane standing on one leg doesn’t provide a very stable platform from which to shoot, especially using the zoom. I almost fell over a couple of times when he went vertical lol. It also became evident that I had lost the ability to hold a camera over my head for ten minutes in order to record a full flight. That’s about as many excuses that I can dream up. In the end, I tried to stitch a few shaky moments together to make this video for Paul. The rehab on my back and leg is starting to show improvement so hopefully I can get back to the field soon.
In any event, Paul’s plane is a beauty and was a joy to watch in the air. I owe Paul a decent video on this plane and will get after it as soon as I can.
Thanks for watching and I hope to see you soon with another video!
Cheers, Bob
