8 Easter eggs and subtle references in Deadpool that actually have a lot of meaning! Subscribe to ScreenRant:
2016's Deadpool movie really was an unprecedented success for a variety of reasons. Given that it was an R-rated movie, it wasn't necessarily expected to compete with other comic book movies in terms of commercial success, but it made more than $746 million worldwide and was the ninth highest-grossing movie of the year - and that's really impressive.
Like any comic book movie these days, one of the coolest things about Deadpool was the huge amount of fun Easter eggs and references it included - and that's what this video is all about. These are ten important details you might have missed in 2016's Deadpool movie. They are; that the Fox logo had the "X" purposely darkened, that the opening credits really were one big Easter egg, that Spider-Man was referenced on multiple occasions, that the mutant Marrow was seen in the background in one scene, that Kevin Feige was referenced in the form of a pizza company, that Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld made a cameo appearance (and both co-creators were referenced in other scenes), that Blind Al's apartment was littered with various Deadpool figurines, that Vanessa Carlyle's comic book alter-ego Copycat was hinted at, that there were a number of possible links to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that the post-credits scene was a parody of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. We hope you enjoy the video! Drop a comment in the comments section to let us know your thoughts!
