The Hyundai Elantra GT Sport is a 5-door 5-passenger compact hatchback built off the Hyundai i30 sold in Europe. This GT Sport model adds a a 201hp 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder that runs on regular gas. The biggest improvement for the Elantra GT Sport is the addition of independent rear suspension and a dual clutch transmission. The base Hyundai Elantra GT Sport comes very well equipped including heater leather seats, heated leather steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 8-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, plus wireless charging, LED headlamps and 18-inch wheels.
The GT Sport is not in the same league as the VW GTI but it is much cheaper, it has more power than the Civic hatchback but less than the Focus ST.
The Hyundai Elnats GT Sport competes with the VW GTI, Honda Civic Hatchback, Honda Civic Si, Ford Focus ST, Ford Fiesta ST, Mazda3 GT and Subaru WRX.
