The SU-35 FPV is back!!
Earlier this year I crashed the plane 3 consecutive times due to technical reasons. I have not released those videos yet. Thing is I have spent entire weeks on the workshop piecing the plane back together. Finally I have managed to restore this beauty to flying condition and so far it's going good. Need to retune again and keep doing the work I begun but for the time being I just wanted to test that everything is okay and enjoy some flights. The plane has flown 12 times already since I finished repairworks. I have many videos that I will be releasing next in this channel and also on my secondary channel (www.youtube.com/RC4ever). Sub there as well if you don't want to miss a thing!
The flights here were the first three flights after the repairs were finished so this was quite a 'remaiden' for the jet. Flight numbers 26th to 28th on this airframe. First and third, I also recorded the FPV video on the goggles to check that signal was ok. I use to do this before jumping straight into FPV flying to avoid surprises later.
In any case, these flights were performed in visual LOS flight. The video shows the flight in split screen as seen from the outside and as seen by the would be 'pilot' on the cockpit through the FPV goggles. Both videos are synchronized in real-time. There is no time-altering in this video. FPV flight videos and formation flight videos will come next (Already recorded), keep tuned!

This is a highly modded Freewing SU-35S. It includes an autopilot controller and an FPV headtracking visual system that makes the plane effectively a UAV/RPA. (Stabilizing functions not active in the flights shown).
The 'autopilot' is a FeiYu-Tech FY-41AP and it also provides the OSD seen on the FPV window.
Just as virtual reality 'VR' goggles are used to play videogames, here a similar technique is used to watch what the plane sees in real time just like if you were sitting in the plane's cockpit, and the camera will follow your head movements!
This is kind of 'reality virtualized' as opposed to 'virtual reality' ... what do you think about it? I encourage you to leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
As for the jet itself, the SU-35S is well known for its supermaneuverability features, that are a result of a good aerodynamic design coupled with the use of thrust vectoring nozzless.
The pilot displays a few post-stall maneuvers using the TV nozzles that would be otherwise impossible to perform with a normal jet aircraft.
