If you own a set of older Fatshark goggles - especially one of the Attitude series - you may have tackled this issue already.
I like my Attitude V3s a lot. I have modded them to my liking, have added a wide comfortable head strap, a DVR with all the wiring internally and have been enjoying them a lot, using various VRx modules.
Most of the aftermarket modules cannot fit into the module bay of the Attitudes though. The tabs that are around the edge of the module bay don't allow for the rear PCB of the modules to be inserted and the pins cannot reach the connector of the goggles. Also the inside part of the module bay may not be tall enough for some modules.
Yes, you can add an extender to the pins and raise them enough to fit the module but it sticks far outside the goggles and is not sturdy enough to support antennas and withstand daily use.
Trimming the tabs of the module bay and grinding the edges of the module's PCB does the trick just fine and the fit is perfect after this simple fix.
This is EASY FIX: How to fit "any" VRx module into your Fatshark goggles (feat. Attitude V3) - Let's go!
