The RF output power specification that we see in the data sheet of the 915T30D is the "Channel Power" measurement with the units dbm/Hz or watts/Hz. This power spectral density is the maximum allowed power we can apply to the antenna. ( Max peak conducted output power).
The 915T30D has a RF output level of 30dbm/500KHz or 1 Watt/500KHz. This is the Power Spectral Density which is a calculated value not a measured value.
It is the power present in a signal as a function of frequency. It is the integration of the instantaneous power across the wideband output signal which is calculated by the spectrum analyzer. The RF power output of a CW narrowband signal can be measured with a wattmeter. The RF output power of a wideband spread spectrum signal is the power density or channel power which is measured across the frequency range of the signal using a spectrum analyzer.
