Exactly one year ago, I got my hands on the Runcam Micro Swift, my first micro FPV camera. Since then, cameras have evolved a lot, both CCD and CMOS.
When the Predator Mini first launched, I was impressed by the light handling characteristics of this FPV camera from Foxeer. Despite the good overall performance, the image was lacking detail and the color reproduction had a "signature" blue tint that made the Predators easily recognizable.
The 2nd version of both the Mini and the Micro Predator cameras is now here, addressing these two issues. The image is now much more pleasing and retains a lot more detail compared to the V1 cameras.
To show you the difference, I used the exact same settings in all the Predator cameras - settings which are close to what I consider "as good as it can get" for the version 1.
The V2 Predators perform great and put the Predator line back in the CMOS game. Don't forget, competition is becoming harder and harder lately!
As usual, the mini version can be converted to a full-size mount with the included adapter. The settings also now include the ability to adjust the Vbat reading for the OSD.
This is BEST FOR LESS - Foxeer Predator V2 Mini & Micro: Overview & Comparison with version 1 - Let's go!
