ParkZone Wildcat - Motor Upgrade
The Wildcat is a fun plane but for me, needs more power to be able to climb aggressively. In this video, the stock motor and esc get swapped out for a Turnigy 35-36C with a 40 amp esc.
Update: On the sixth flight (with upgrades) I smoked the 40 amp ESC doing a prolonged period of full speed. I guess the ESC was marginal at 40 amps. I'll throw in a 60 amp and see how it goes. For what it's worth, the plane is a blast at full speed and I can't wait to get it in the air again. The plane went from fun but kind of boring to a whole lotta fun. I'm using a 10x7 MAS prop.
Update: After installing the 60 Amp esc (with an MAS 10x7 prop), I've run about 50 packs through the plane and have had no issues. It's a fast little bugger and is a keeper.
