Live your childhood dream again, be a race car driver in real-life
FPV racing is the new big thing in RC hobby, people start playing with micro camera and video transmitter and put them everywhere that can be R/C with, the most common and basic choice is RC car.
Why not FPV? Well, we find that Third Person View (TPV) works better on RC cars
Putting a FPV system inside the RC car cockpit seems dont' work the same way like you're in a real car, the car goes so fast, and have limited view angle, you can't see the road very well, you lose the sense of speed, you can hardly turn in correctly and too bumpy that makes you feel sick. Luckily, the guys in Storm factory are a bunch of creative young fellas who like to solve problem, inspired by video games, they've designed a 3D mount for the FPV system and hook them up onto a 1/24 size RC cars, calling it the TPV (Third Person View) system, having the viewing angle slightly above the car solved everything, you can immerse yourself in RC car racing without difficulties. We compared First Person View (FPV) to Third Person View (TPV) on RC cars, TPV sees the car action and you get to see more road, these little differences allows your mind to predict where the car is going and when to make turns, this is all that matters, you will have much easier handling compare with FPV RC cars.
Originally it was a fun project at Storm factory, but they found it so addictive and too good to be missed, so here it is - the Storm TPV Truck package includes a 1/24th RC car + remote controller, a complete TPV system (3D mount + RunCam Micro Swift 2 camera + FX808 200mw 5.8Ghz VTX) and LiPo battery, basically you just need your existing FPV Monitor or Goggles and you can try something new other than FPV race drone.
