The AT-6 is single engine trainer airplane used to train pilots from different sectors of the military. It was known as the plane that trained many pilots in WWII before stepping up to a true fighter aircraft like the P-51 Mustang. It seated two people, usually a student pilot and an instructor. The AT-6 is quick and maneuverable. Its stable flight characteristics and ability to perform aerobatics makes it an incredibly fun airplane to fly.
The ArtTech 500 class AT-6 is constructed of durable and lightweight EPO foam. ArtTech incorporated lots of scale features that make this AT-6 unique. Navigation lights on the leading edge of the wings allow the pilot to see the planes orientation during low light conditions. Retractable landing gears tuck into the wings for better aerodynamic performance, also giving it that beautiful silhouette in the sky. The plane also features scale flaps that allow you to slow the plane down for slow flying or landings. The removable canopy reveals a detailed cockpit with pilot and joysticks to add to the scale realism. A steerable tail wheel is convenient for taxing on the runway.
The wings span just over 50 inches with an overall fuselage length of about 37 inches. The plane is driven by a 760KV ourtrunner brushless motor throwing a 11x8 prop. The spinner is chrome plated and enhances the beauty of this plane. The installed 30 amp esc is powered by a 11.1v 2400mah lithium polymer battery. Included in this ready to fly version is a 2.4ghz receiver and transmitter. Minimum assembly is required to get this awesome machine flying in the air.
