Seeing all your support for Conor's music video last week was really special, so I wanted to share this short documentary too. It was created by his friend Patrick who shared some words below.
Conor is the narrator and it focuses in on the physicality of the old piano on which he learned to play, and on which he first performed.

Discover Conor's Music

“Conor and I grew up in the same town, Swinford in County Mayo, and our families are connected in many ways. Conor collaborated on a poetry and piano project with my brother; our mothers are close friends. Further back, our grandparents knew each other well.
Since his untimely passing, which, like so many people, was a huge loss for me personally, the story of Conor's has continued to live in his hometown as his career took off, and particularly his being based for long stints alone in O'Connor's Hotel, have been key dimensions of the steadily expanding legacy of music. There is a legend surrounding Conor. But it had begun before his death.
When myself and Conor were making this film together, we certainly had no thoughts of posterity or mortality in mind, although admittedly it isn't a sunny film. The hotel itself is the setting, specifically the room referred to as 'the front', which gave its name to Conor's first EP, and the gripping composition of the same name, recently adapted for an episode of the American TV series 'How to Get Away with Murder.'
For me, the film stands as a kind of document, providing evidence of Conor's giftedness and his commitment to his music; evidence of his intelligent and reflective nature: in his reflections, he touches on creativity and resilience and suggests the deep roots of his vocation. His keen social conscience comes through too I think.
I hope this film, which I recently recut in advance of the launch of Conor's posthumously released album, The Lucid, gives others the opportunity to discover his music, and to glimpse something of the powerful and unique personality that lies behind it."
