P51D Mustang 1.4m EPO (ARF)
Specs from Hobby King website:
This Mustang is a cheap, nice sized Plug and Fly model that is made from tough EPO foam and despite it being a little larger than your average Parkflyer, it only requires common sized 3s lipoly packs due to its lightweight construction.
Being Plug and Fly, all servos are pre-installed, there is plenty of power from the supplied brushless motor to spin a 12x6 standard type three blade prop (included) on only 3s, meaning no large, expensive packs, all those 2200mAh 3s Lipolys you have in your flightbox will do just fine. This P-51 features fixed, heavy duty landing gear, cheap servoless retracts could be fitted quite easily with a little work. Flaps and servo pockets for flaps are pre-moulded giving you the option to add flaps easily and cheaply (2 x 9g servos) if you so wish.
As well as being cheap, this Mustang is also practical, the wings are 2 pc plug in type, the supplied under-carriage is very sturdy, it uses a standard type prop and spinner (no special replacement items needed should they get damaged), there is an easy access and large battery tray and so on. If you are looking for a warbird that is a little larger than a Parkfly model without spending big bucks, this is it!
