First flight of the new "X-UAV mini Talon" from Banggood.
A nice plane with loads of storage space for all your FPV goodies.
Getting the CG spot on is critical on this one, but fairly easy when you shift your battery to the right spot in it's large cargo bay. In this video I fly it with a Zippy 4000 3s. The lipo is just velcroed in as I will not go full-acro/berserk on this one ;-)
The mini Talon doesn´t feel as sporty as the Skyhunter in the air, but really stable in flight and can carry more equipment.
A slow flyer. I had no OSD in this run but I estimate the cruising speed around 45-55 km/h.
Looking forward to some more flights with this one :)
To setup the EZuhf in the Turnigy 9Xr-pro for Vtail mix: use 2 separate channels on your rx and plug in the servo's. Add a mix to each channel in your radio containing both rudder and elevator. In my case 50% each. Then check for polarity (i.e. reversing if neccessary). No need to switch wires as you might do on a wing when deltamixing.
I am pretty new at long(er) range flights, but I think I found my first good spot to try it out. A nice 2.3 km straight country road with nothing bad to crash into on either side. (and pretty easy to relocate the plane, if it crashes.
